ROLEX. A STAINLESS STEEL AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH BRACELET WATCH Model: Cosmograph Daytona Reference: 116500LN Date: Purchased 19th February, 2022 Movement: 44-jewel automatic, No. 5389Z0S1 Dial: Black Case: Tonneau form, screw down case back, No. 784R9332 Strap/Bracelet: Stainless steel Oyster link Buckle/Clasp: Stainless steel folding clasp Signed: Case, dial, movement and clasp Size: 40mm Accompaniments: Maker's outer packaging, presentation box, warranty card (dated), instruction manual, swing tag and protective bezel cover Footnotes: The Rolex Daytona Cosmograph has long been a symbol of luxury and precision. Since its debut in 1963, its design has evolved, with one of the most notable changes occurring in 1988 with the introduction of the 'Zenith' Daytona. However, a significant update came in 2016 at Baselworld, when Rolex introduced the 116500LN model, the first stainless steel Daytona to feature a Cerachrom bezel. The 'LN' in the reference numbers stands for Lunette Noire - black bezel in French. The 40mm stainless steel Oyster case, complete with a Triplock screw-down crown and chronograph pushers, ensures robust water resistance up to 100 meters. This new model combines functionality with a more refined, sporty look that appeals to both collectors and daily wearers alike. The present lot is the black glossy dial of the modern Daytona Cosmograph, featuring silver outlines on the three subsidiary dials, and comes in a full set of accessories. See the vintage Daytona offered in this auction in Lot 92 and other variations in Lot 93, 98, 104 and 108.
