CHIPPENDALE-STYLE MAHOGANY OXBOW SLANT-LID DESK America, 20th century. Top with mitered front edge dovetailed to conforming ends of case, supporting cleated slant lid opening on hinges over an interior with prospect door over two drawers and a valanced frieze drawer, the sides containing one long drawer over split drawers over four valanced compartments, the case containing blocked top drawer over three conforming serpentine-front graduated drawers, raised on ogee bracket base mounted to pieced ball-and-claw feet, (prospect door detached from hinges, repairs, shrinkage warping), 111cm wide, 66cm deep, 109cm high (44in wide, 26in deep, 43 3/4in high).
