WU XIZAI (1799-1870) Zhongkui, 1864 Ink and cinnabar on paper, hanging scroll Inscribed and signed Rangzhi Wu Xizai, with three artist's seals Dated jiazi year (1864) 104 x 39cm (41 x 15⅜in) Footnotes: Published: Collection of Modern Chinese Paintings-Collection of Cao Mozhai, Vol. I, Shanghai Paintings and Calligraphy Publishing House, Shanghai, July 2010, p. 110-111 吳熙載 鍾馗 設色紙本 立軸 一八六四年作 款識︰ 薰風蒲艾艷紅榴，醉煞拈來欲插頭。漫說開元唐進士，衣冠寫出古風流。 唐吳道子有《鍾馗擊鬼圖》，宋劉松年有《嫁妹圖》，元趙松雪有《戲水圖》，明沈石田有《鍾馗百像圖》，從未有醉鍾馗者。余以端陽節正午時，用硃砂和米汁寫此，未知合古人意不，是又却鬼之一法也。同治三年避亂海陵，時甲子天中節正午，讓之吳熙載畫並題。 鈐印︰熙載之印、攘之、惜花軒 出版： 《近現代中國繪畫集萃——曹氏墨齋藏》（一），（上海）上海書畫出版社，二〇一〇年七月，頁110至 111 For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
