A North European 28-Bore Wheel-Lock Holster Pistol Mid-17th Century, Probably German Or Dutch With shortened octagonal barrel stuck with an unidentified crowned barrelsmith's mark on the top flat at the breech, plain tang (old fracture), flat lock with a point at the tail, flat wheel with recurved retaining bracket secured by two screws, the pan and cock-bridle en suite, the former with manually operated sliding pan-cover, figured full stock (old split in front of the lock), iron mounts comprising hexagonal pommel-cap drawn-out to a flat point, trigger-guard with pointed finial and trigger-spring, fore-end band and single ramrod-pipe, and later iron-tipped ramrod 33 cm. barrel For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
