A SILVER TOPPED-GOLD AND DIAMOND BROOCH, LATE 18TH CENTURY Designed as a single flower, with ribbon encircling its stem, all set with old mine-cut and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 5.50 carats, measures 2 3/4 x 7/8 in. Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION: Metal tested for silver topped-gold; pinback clasps securely; pinback slightly bent; one (1) diamond is missing, at least two (2) others are chipped and/or cracked, while some show surface-reaching inclusions; superficial wear in the form of minor scratches; overall good condition.
