AN ILLUSTRATION OF AN ELEPHANT ESCAPING A CIRCUS TRAIN. [ROJANKOVSKY, FEODOR, attrib. 1891-1970.] Ink and watercolor on paper, image of an elephant in a suit and tie escaping a circus train with his suitcase just as the train enters a tunnel, approximately 260 x 200 mm, matted and framed. Provenance: Every Picture Tells a Story, c.2004. This illustration appears to be the work of Fyodore Rojankovsky, a Russian emigre illustrator who worked for Little Golden Books.
