A striking Dragon Soumak carpet Caucasus 296cm x 180cm Footnotes: The present lot is a variant of a group of east Caucasian flat-weaves that take their design from the so-called 'dragon' carpets woven in Armenia from the 16th to the 18th century. Boralevi, Sumakh: Flat-woven carpets of the Caucasus, Firenze, 1986, p.27) This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: TP TP For auctions held in Scotland: Lots will be moved to an offsite storage location (Constantine, Constantine House, North Caldeen Road, Coatbridge ML5 4EF, Scotland, UK) and will only be available for collection from this location at the date stated in the catalogue.
