This work will be included in the forthcoming volume of the Raoul Dufy catalogue raisonné of works on paper, currently being prepared. Provenance Donald Meyer Collection, New Orleans. Thence by descent to the previous owner in 2019. Acquired from the above by the present owner. This work was previously in the estate of Donald Meyer, a prominent attorney and community member in New Orleans who was heavily involved in his local art and theatre community, helping build the New Orleans Arts Academy. He later moved to Sante Fe where he was well known for his community leadership and role on the board of various art commissions where he supported and promoted the arts and theatre, resulting in the Mayor of Sante Fe proclaiming a day in July 'The Donald A.
