RUBY AND DIAMOND RING, EARLY 20TH CENTURY BAGUE RUBIS ET DIAMANTS, DEBUT 20EME SIECLE • French assay mark for platinum (850°/00) • 1 oval-cut ruby • Accompanied by a short report from GEM Paris stating that the principal ruby is unheated and of Burmese (Myanmar) origin • Numerous old brilliant-cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.10-0.20 carat total • Ring size 54 (FR) - N (UK) • Gross weight: 3.59 grams Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION: Metal tested and stamped for platinum; sign of repairs; superficial wear in the form of minor scratches; overall good condition. PRINCIPAL COLOURED GEMSTONE: oval-cut ruby Approximate measurements: 8.87 x 7.74 x 2.30 mm Clarity: included, surface reaching inclusions. Hue: pinkish red Tone: medium light Abrasions on surface, chips, fissures.
