PEARL AND AGATE CAMEO PENDANT/BROOCH, CIRCA 1860 PENDENTIF/BROCHE CAMEE AGATE ET PERLES, CIRCA 1860 • French assay and import marks for 18 carat yellow gold (750°/00) • Agate cameo depicting a profile of a woman • Numerous half-pearls • French maker's mark for Victor CHAPRON • Measurements: 5.10 cm • Gross weight: 30.09 grams Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION: Metal tested and stamped for 18 carat gold; pin clasp; superficial wear in the form of minor scratches; 2 pearls deficient; overall good condition. PRINCIPAL COLOURED GEMSTONE: agate Approximate measurements: 3.90 x 3.00 mm Hue: grey and orange Chips, fissures. PEARLS: Average diameter: from 3.25 mm to 3.50 mm Shape: half pearls Body colour and overtone: white body, faint rose overtone, surface cracks and small scratches Lustre: good MARKS: French maker's mark with initials VC and a camel's profile for Victor CHAPRON.
