DIAMOND DRESS SET PARURE PARURE DE COL DIAMANTS • French assay marks for 18 carat yellow gold (750°/00) • Comprising: a pair of cufflinks, a pair of dress buttons • Brushed grey gold discs • Numerous single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.80-1.00 carat total • Button diameter: 0.90 cm • Cufflinks diameter: 1.20 cm • Gross weight: 14.28 grams Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION: Metal tested and stamped for 18 carat gold; spring ring clasps for cufflinks; post system for buttons; superficial wear in the form of minor scratches; overall good condition. ACCENT DIAMONDS: single-cut Approximate overall colour and clarity: H-I-J, VS-SI MARKS: 'MECAN' French maker's mark with initials HP and an ace of spades for Henri PICQ and PICQ & Fils. This jewels workshop is specialised in cufflinks and Art Deco jewels from 1888. They have worked with known jewellers such as Cartier, Lacloche and have also co-signed several artworks with Jean Schlumberger.
