(Light dampstaining, a few leaves with minor marginal worming, affecting a few letters.) Contemporary limp vellum, remains leather ties. Provenance Haskell F. Norman Library of Science and Medicine (bookplate; his sale, Christie's, June 15, 1998, lot 433); FIRST EDITION, an unauthorized publication of the author's lectures at the University of Padua, comprising five books of surgery: tumors, wounds, ulcers and fistulas, fractures and dislocations. Fabrici described the valves of the veins and was the teacher of Harvey. Durling 1416, Norman 748 (this copy).
