Boards creased and chipped, scattered browning and spotting. FIRST SEPARATE EDITION. Originally intended as an addendum to the 1814 second edition of Bell's Operative Surgery, this work on gunshot wounds features striking plates showing types of wounds caused by gunshots — something that must have been a familiar subject at the time, during the final years of the Napoleonic wars.
