Footnotes: Giovanni Battista Cerbara and his sons Giuseppe (1770-1856) and Niccolo (1793-1869) were celebrated Roman medalists and gem engravers of the 18th and 19th centuries. In 1822 Giuseppe became General Engraver to the Papal Mint and with Girometti produced the papal medals biannually.
