Western European School (possibly German, Austrian, or Czech), 18th century The Deer Hunt unsigned oil on canvas 60.0 x 82.0 cm (23 5/8 x 32 5/16 in). framed 84.5 x 106.0 x 7.5 cm (33 1/4 x 41 3/4 x 3 in). Footnotes: N.B. This artist has clearly drawn inspiration from the hunting scenes of Flemish artists such as Paul de Vos (1595-1678), Frans Snijders (1579-1657), and Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640). This work has been examined via digital images by the Netherlands Institute for Art History (RKD). RKD scholars suggest that this picture is the work of an 18th-century Western European (possibly German, Austrian, or Czech) artist.
