AFTER ZHA SHIBIAO Fisherman in Landscape Hanging scroll, ink on paper, signed Zha Shibiao with two seals. 69 x 29 3/4 in (175.5 x 75.5cm) Footnotes: Please note this Lot is to be sold at No Reserve. 本拍品不設底價 （款）査士標 深林漁隱 水墨紙本 立軸 Provenance: Collection of Ku Tam Ming (Gu Danming, 1904-1973), Hong Kong, circa 1960's 來源： 顧澹明（1904–1973）舊藏，香港，約二十世紀六十年代 Ku Tam Ming, a native of Suzhou, was active in Guangzhou during 1930s-1940s. Initially involved in journalism, Ku later studied painting under Gao Jianfu 高劍父 (1879-1951) and became a painter and collector. His daughter Carrie Ku Mei 顧湄 (Gu Mei, b. 1929) also pursued painting and was an actress and singer active in Hong Kong during the 1950s and 1960s. His son, Joseph Koo 顧嘉煇 (Gu Jiahui, 1931-2023), achieved fame as a composer of Cantonese pop music.
