A Planet of the Apes Collection of Posters and Photos 20th Century-Fox, 1968. Collection of 4 posters and photos including a half-sheet poster, 2 oversized 19 x 23 in. poster prints including one of Roddy McDowall as Cornelius, one of Kim Hunter as Zira, and a large black-and-white 11 x 14 in. production photograph of Charlton Heston on the set as Taylor. Exhibiting age, handling, and wear. Cornelius and Zira posters retain pinholes in corners and edge wear. Charlton Heston had the good fortune and talent to play several historic film roles, but not even Moses could complete with Commander George Taylor in Planet of the Apes, a science fiction classic in which the tables are turned and Heston is captured by a society of intelligent but belligerent apes.
