Two Framed Collections of Silhouette Patterns, probably Europe, 19th century. Rectangular glazed frames containing mounted vertical arrangements of thirty-one ink and watercolor silhouettes painted on laid paper (each approx. 3 1/4 x 4 1/4-in.), some numbered in pencil up to #42 at top right corner, displaying variety of Rococo-style male and female profile portraits in a rich variety of graphic borders and settings, the pigment retaining fine tonal ranges of gray, green, pink, and yellow, the pages likely extracted from a larger bound collection of patterns or sketches, not examined out of associated frames, sight, set of fifteen, 11 5/8 x 23 5/8 in., framed 16 1/4 x 28 1/4 in.; sight, set of sixteen, 15 1/4 x 19 3/4 in., framed 20 1/4 x 25 in.
