Moulton, Ovid, February 1855. 2 3/4 x 3 1/4-inch daguerreotype plates under gold-tone mats, eight individual portraits surrounding a central image of a house, mounted together in a molded wooden frame, some backboards inscribed in pencil, the top stretcher signed 'Pictures taken by / Wm J. Moulton / OVID / Feb. 1855' in pencil, next to a later inscription, 'Picture Made by / Wm J. Mouiton / Ovid Feb. 1855.', four of the portraits with unidentified inscriptions on reverse, each plate, 2 3/4 x 3 1/4 in.; framed, 14 x 15 3/8 in.
