Weight-driven, pendulum-regulated timepiece in mahogany case with drum head surmounted by ormolu eagle finial on threaded post, the glazed door opening on hinges over an enamel-painted sheet iron clock face with aperture for winding arbor, fitted with blued steel hour and minute hand, the throat containing conforming lead weight with additional zinc bracket across front, concealed under black and gold eglomise glass panel, the similarly reverse-painted tablet glass centering an oval pendulum window, the box retaining three labels of clock repairers, including George B. Jackson (1935) and Lauri Tokoi (1956) of Fitchburg, and Acton Clock Service (1991) of Acton, Massachusetts, includes H.J.
