Pressed glass stoppered apothecary jar containing grains of Pikes Peak sandstone precisely arranged to depict a spray of roses and a bald eagle flying the U.S. flag in white-ground reserves on opposite walls, densely framed with colorful geometric border patterns, dated '1893' below shoulder, the printed circular label inscribed 'Pictured Rocks Sand / Put Up By / A. Clemens, / Deaf Mute / McGregor, Iowa.' is torn and detached from bottom of jar, but present, diam. 2 3/4, ht. 8 7/8 in.
