A pair of Plains beaded moccasins Lakota (Sioux), fourth quarter 19th century, with raw hide soles, decorated with a multicolored checkered design on a blue ground, with beaded tongue and long hide fringe from the heel, included is an old paper tag, inscribed, 'Sitting Bull's Moccasins. Deerskin decorated with beads and bells trimmed with porcupine quills.' (Minor bead loss). lg. 10 1/2 in.
