'Chandlerism' #172 is one of the last iterations of Smith's celebrated works based on the hardboiled mystery writer's turns of phrase. Here, one of Tinsel Town's icons is illuminated by the setting sun against the backdrop of the Hollywood Hills: She handed me the glass. Bubbles rose in it like false hopes.
