Their work focuses on creating a forced perspective on topics related to disability, health 'care,' inaccessibility, and the systemic social norms that uphold and reinforce segregation, filicide, and injustice. They've been shown at the 2022 Whitney Biennial, are acquired by the Museum of Modern Art in Frankfurt and have had a recent solo show in Zurich Switzerland. Barker has given artist talks at MIT, The Whitney Museum, UCLA, Royal Academy of Art in London, Otis, and many more.
