Trois bagues en or serties de pierres Java Central, Indonésie Three gold rings with gemstone bezels Central Java, Indonesia from left to right i) 9th-11th century, FR size 52, 12.61 g, 14 ct. ii) 8th-10th century, FR size 52, 5 g, 18 ct. iii) FR size 46, 9.92 g, 18 ct. Footnotes: Provenance i) Susan Ollemans, London ii) Thomas Murray, California i, ii, iii) Private collection, Asia The three rings share a similar design, comprising a ribbed shank and a lozenge-shaped bezel with a round gemstone set in the centre, held by claws. The larger stone is an amethyst, the middle one is a crystal and the smaller one is a sapphire.
