EIGHT FIGURAL SILVER-PLATED NAPKIN RINGS Connecticut and Massachusetts, late 19th century, 1-2. Pair of young sailor and anchor figures, one engraved 'M.A. Scott' and the other, 'R.C. Scott', both on bases marked Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. (Wallingford, Connecticut, 1866-98), no. 90. 3. One Inuit figure on an ice floe, the round base marked Meriden Silver Plate Co. (Meriden, Connecticut, 1869-98), no. 220. 4. One unmarked brass ring with diaper pattern supported at sides by two court jesters (figures detached). 5. One ring supported by opposing Roman soldier figures, on base marked no. 340, probably by Middletown Plate Co. (Middletown, Connecticut, 1864-99). 6. One ring supported by opposing dancing boy figures with raised arms, marked '5' on slab base. 7. One man with tennis racquet balanced against ruffled ring marked Meriden Britannia Co. (Meriden, Connecticut, 1852-98), no. 284. 8. Woman with feather in her cap carrying waisted ring on her back with tasseled rope, a small dog at her feet, inscribed 'James / 1878' on top of ring, the oval base marked Reed & Barton (Taunton, Massachusetts, est. 1824), no. 1175.
