Two Royal Worcester Boer War figures, dated 1900 Modelled standing and resting the butts of their rifles on the textured bases, picked out in tones of bronze and khaki with gilt highlights, one titled 'Black Watch', the soldier of the Royal Highlander Regiment wearing his kilt and sporran, 19cm high, shape number 2109, the second figure of a young sailor titled 'Handy Man', his cap inscribed 'HMS TERRIBLE', 17.8cm high, shape number 2110, titles and printed factory marks in green (2) Footnotes: This series is recorded as the 'Boer War Soldiers of the City Imperial Volunteers' in The Sandon Guide to Royal Worcester Figures (1987), p.63.
