Two balustroid wine glasses, circa 1730-40 With drawn trumpet bowls on teared stems both with a teared inverted baluster knop, one over a high domed foot, 17.4cm high, the other over a plain conical foot, 16.5cm high (2) Footnotes: Traditionally referred to as 'Kit-Cat' glasses, it is now accepted that balustroid glasses of this type have no connection to the Kit-Cat Club, see Simon Wain-Hobson, 'The Serious Misnomer of Kit-Cat Glasses', Glass Matters, no.6 (October 2019) pp.9-14.
