LEVENTINE BONE INLAID HARDWOOD CHAIR • Late 19th century • 46 1/4' height • 24 1/4' width • 20' depth • 19 1/2 seat height Footnotes: Provenance: New England Industrialist Lucius Bowles Darling was a successful businessman and politician, including his appointment as Lieutenant Governor of Rhode Island (1885-1887), member of the Rhode Island State Board of Education, and owner of the Pawtucket, Rhode Island Music Hall Building. Darling and his and wife Angeline (Armington) embarked on a Grand Tour circa 1878, purchasing items for their Pawtucket home. OVERALL CONDITION: Good. Cracks and wear commensurate with age and use.
