His preference seemed to be for gold, diamonds, and sapphires, and he was known to have gifted inscribed Baume & Mercier watches over the years to a select few. The present timepiece is a great example - engraved on the caseback 'From Elvis Presley to Dodie Marshall my great treasure my greatest love Elvis'. The watch remained in the ownership of Dodie Marshall and is being offered from her private estate. It was nicely preserved with minor signs of use. Dodie Marshall is an English actress who grew up in the USA where she took singing and acting lessons before heading to Hollywood where she appeared in front of the camera for the first time in 1964.
