Dutch Baroque Walnut Tall Case Clock, 18th century, inscribed Jan Breukelaar, Amsterdam, with fretwork and foliate crest to the pagoda-style hood and figural gilt finials, the calendar and moon phases above a silvered dial with roman numeral and arabic chapter rings within cast brass spandrels, raised on a plain figured case with central aperture surrounded by gilt rocaille, the bombe base and scrolled feet, approx. ht. 92 in. Footnotes: Note: Jan Breukelaar was born in Amsterdam in 1738, and in 1768 took over the shop and business of Anthony van Oostrum on the Grote Kattenburgerstratt.
