A GROUP OF BLANC-DE-CHINE WARES 17th century and later Comprising: a pair of vases, each of bulbous body rising from a high foot with raised band to a cylindrical neck with a flared rim, flanked by a pair of beast-head handles suspending loose rings; a gu vase of elongated trumpet form with ribs at either side of the central section incised with sprays of leafy peonies, the lower section carved with an inscription reading houxi zhai hongyuan yu; a model of a Buddhist lion seated on its haunch upon a plinth, decorated with bells and tassels to the neck, with its forepaw stepping on a brocade ball; a tripod incense burner with raised string bands enclosing a design of stylised archaic dragons against a key-fret ground, supported on three feet; a 'Marco Polo' incense burner of octagonal shape moulded around the body with three bands of flower scrolls, supported on eight cabriole legs, the cover with openwork depicting branches of prunus blossoms.
