A Hemba male slave figure Democratic Republic of the Congo, standing on a round base, with short, heavy legs apart, cutout arms tied behind the back, with wide, flattened shoulders, the thick neck below the angular head, with full, protruding mouth, above a beard, a flat nose and coffee bean eyes, with arching brow and coiffure at the back of the head, mounted on a wood base, (missing part of left leg, foot and base). ht. 11 in.
