Hemimorphite Mfouati District, Bouenza Department, Republic of the Congo Not just a memorable Hemimorphite for its gentle blue coloration, but a stunner of the entire species for its radiating and large crystallization. While most Hemimorphite from this locality occur in botryoidal form, this specimen shines with its lustrous, radially stacked blades. Each stack makes a distinct crystal habit that has great luster, resulting in soft sparkle as the specimen is rotated. A tiny percentage of the Hemimorphites from Mfouati provide this depth of crystal presentation in addition to the attractive color. This piece presents a distinction of importance for the species of Hemimorphite world-wide, as there are few locales in the world which produce distinct and large terminated Hemimorphites, and almost none to rival the coloration as the matching characteristic.
