Muscovite on Shorl with Fluorite Erongo Mountain, Usakos and Omaruru Districts, Erongo Region, Namibia A rare and extremely aesthetic specimen of yellow Muscovite on Schorl Tourmaline is topped with small blue-green Fluorites. The Muscovite crystals with their velvety luster would be a joy to behold from this classic Namibian mineral locale on their own, but to have them associated with several other minerals in this growth habit is not only rare but truly unique. The two large stems of the Schorl Tourmaline are fully terminated with one stem being prominently etched, making a distinct 'crown' with its convex presentation. Muscovite grew on top of the Schorl Tourmalines at a later stage and also into the etched top, providing a bright display for the 'crown.' In addition, smaller Fluorites pepper the sides of the Muscovite covered Schorl crystals adding a level of sophistication and complexity to the piece with this significant association. Measuring approximately 12.5 x 7.5 x 7 cm Footnotes: ex. Artem Kovalev Collection For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
