Dioptase on Calcite

Dioptase on Calcite Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Oshikoto Region, Namibia Dozens of supremely lustrous, vivid emerald green crystals are artistically arranged within a large recessed vug in this well balanced and well composed Dioptase piece from Tsumeb. This is a very good mounded plate of Dioptase crystals that range in size between 3 mm to 1.5 cm all of which have bright green internal reflections everywhere! Most of the display face is covered in these rich emerald-green crystals some are isolated and others are in small groups set on a fine blanket of glistening, 1 mm Calcite crystals that take on the color of the dove gray matrix underneath. with some white Calcite peeking in around the edges and the entire underside of the specimen is composed of Calcite. It is completely without damage on the display face, only a few crystals at one end on the underside appear to be slightly compromised. All of the Dioptase crystals are super lustrous, gemmy and very well formed. Comes with a custom engraved acrylic base. Measuring approximately 9.5 x 7 x 7 cm.
