A rare folding motorist's ladder, circa 1910, stamped 'Hodgekinson's Patent, Ambergate, Derby', mahogany frame unfolding from three sections and articulating fore and aft to reveal the black painted steel rungs, when folded 92cm long, when unfolded 249cm long, the upper rails mounted with hooks to fit roof mounted Edwardian luggage racks, (originally fitted with leather strap now part detached).
