She, therefore, likely represents Shiva's spouse Parvati in her aspect as Gauri, the Fair Lady, who is a favorite deity of those desiring prosperity and riches. Compare the figural modelling and quality of these two figures with miniature Chola sculptures of Parvati and Shiva with his Bull in the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (M.72.1.13 & M.86.249.1; Pal, Indian Sculpture, Vol. II, 1988, pp. 270 & 280, nos. 142a & 148.
