Footnotes: Provenance With The Adams Gallery, London (as Hilly Landscape), where acquired by the present owner Private Collection, U.K. The present work dates to a trip that Grant took to Marbella in 1964 staying with Edward le Bas. It is presumed that Grant dated the work erroneously retrospectively. We are grateful to Richard Shone for his assistance in cataloguing this lot.
