SCOTTISH CLAN INTEREST: a George III Scottish silver nutmeg grater Robert Gray & Son, Edinburgh 1810 Plain oblong with rounded corners, the hinged domed cover inscribed with the armorial for the Scottish Clan 'HOUSTON' and the motto 'IN TIME' above, opening to reveal a hinged grater, lifting upwards from the right hand side to reveal a reserve beneath for the nutmeg, length 6.5cm, weight 2oz. Footnotes: Property of a Private Collector Clan Houston is a Scottish clan associated with the region of Renfrewshire. The Houston's held lands in the area, including the estate of Houston.
