A brass-hilted steel sword (Tulwar) with presentation inscription for Brigadier WNJ Withall from the Sikh Light Infantry India, early 20th Century the single-edged steel blade of slightly curved form with fuller to upper edge, engraved to the forte to each side with inscriptions in Gurumukhi, one side also with a khanda symbol, the brass hilt of typical form, engraved and decorated with floral motifs and foliate and vegetal designs, the wood scabbard clad in blue velvet with openwork copper mounts with floral and foliate designs, one of the mounts inscribed 'presented to Brig.
