1967 Triumph 349cc Tiger 90 Registration no. GCB 312E Frame no. T90 H54962 Engine no. T90 H54962 Triumph re-entered the 350cc class in 1957 with the introduction of the Twenty One, its first unitary construction model, and quickly followed up with a 500cc version: the 5TA. The latter was first to undergo the 'sports' treatment - in the form of the Tiger 100A - the equivalent 350 not appearing until October 1962 when the Tiger 90 arrived. The 'baby' Tiger looked smart and went well too, its top speed under favourable conditions being a genuine 90mph. Unfortunately nothing is known of this Tiger 90's history prior to its acquisition by the vendor in 2014, since when it has been dry stored. Recommissioning to a greater or lesser extent will be required before the machine returns to the road and thus it is sold strictly as viewed (the engine turns over). There is no registration document with this Lot, although the registration 'GCB 312E' is recorded in the HPI database. Accordingly, prospective purchasers should satisfy themselves with regard to this motorcycle's registration status prior to bidding and, if successful, make an application to the DVLA to re-register it.
