A pair of Louis XV walnut bergères by Mathieu Bauve circa 1760-70 The shaped moulded back surmounted with a floral crest with outscrolling armrests and undulating seat rail on cabriole legs, upholstered in yellow silk damask, stamped: 'BAUVE' to the seat rail, 75cm wide x 74cm deep x 89.5cm high, (29.5in wide x 29in deep x 35in high) (2) Footnotes: Mathieu Bauve (d.c.1786), maître menuisier in 1754.
