A late 19th century / early 20th century French champlevé enamel four glass clock the dial signed Aitchison, 2 Ludgate Hill, the movement with Japy Freres pastille of unusual swept sided rectangular form, the corners with plain columns with urn finials, the corresponding stepped top surmounted by a low twin scroll handled footed pedestal urn with flambe finial, on low foliate and milled disc bun feet, the whole decorated with formalised floriate polychrome borders and panels, the 3.25' gilt Arabic dial with decorative roundel centre and pieced blackened steel hands, the brass twin train movement with Brocot type suspension striking on a coiled steel gong, with corresponding decorative roundel pendulum, and with winding key, 39cm high, 26cm wide, 15cm deep This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: TP TP For auctions held in Scotland: Lots will be moved to an offsite storage location (Constantine, Constantine House, North Caldeen Road, Coatbridge ML5 4EF, Scotland, UK) and will only be available for collection from this location at the date stated in the catalogue.
