A pair of Japanese Imari porcelain vases, adapted as lamp bases probably late Meiji period of bulbous inverted tapering baluster form, the bodies decorated in underglaze blue and overglaze iron red and gilt with three shaped cartouche panels depicting bird and flower landscapes, below further formalised floriate panels, reserved on a scrolling floral ground, the shallow cylindrical necks with corresponding decoration, mounted on gilt wood turned bases, fitted for electricity, 34cm high, 28cm diameter approximately (2) Footnotes: Provenance Acquired from Horneman Antiques, London.
