Assembled group includes five pieces of New England tinware: three book-form boxes with hinged lids, a miniature covered kettle, and a small mug; one English lithographed tin biscuit box in the form of eight books surrounded by a buckled strap, the conforming top lifting on hinges, printed with marbled pages and book titles on molded spines; one sculpted and painted papier-mâché cat figure on a squeaking bellows base; and one pocket watch mechanism with chain of pierced slide plates, engraved 'D.D. Neveren' 'N27408 / LONDON' along edge, biscuit tin, wd. 6 1/2, dp. 4 7/8, ht. 6 3/8 in. Footnotes: Note Proceeds to Benefit the Historic Deerfield Museum Collections Fund.
