Cylindrical apothecary bottle with fixed stopper, decorated from foot to neck with polychrome decoration in grains of Saint Peter Sandstone, one panel inscribed 'Annie and Laura / 1888' around a Classical urn with floral arrangement including roses, geraniums, and a daisy, opposite a second panel depicting a U.S. ship at full sail, surrounded by scallop-, chevron-, diamond-, and trefoil-patterned bands, as well as a band marbled to resemble the Saint Peter Sandstone deposits at Pictured Rocks, Pikes Peak, Iowa, (lacks signature label), diam. 2 3/8, ht. 6 3/4 in.
