Allen Jones R.A. (British, born 1937) Question Time, from Thirty-five Artists (Lloyd 89) Lithograph in colours, 1982, on CM Fabriano cotton paper, signed, dated '83' and inscribed 'AP 4/5' in pencil, one of five artist's proofs aside from the numbered edition of 50, printed and published by the Royal College of Art, London, the full sheet, framed Sheet 697 x 498mm (27 1/2 x 19 3/4in) Footnotes: Lloyd incorrectly reports 35 artist's proofs extant, whereas 37 was the number of hors commerce sets of portfolios reserved for each of the participating artists and paper suppliers; each artist was reserved five further sets of artist's proof copies. We are grateful to Mr. Neil Goodman from the Special Collections Library at the Royal College of Arts for his assistance cataloguing this lot.
