Francesco Zucchi (Italian, 1692-1764) Teatro delle Fabbriche più cospicue in prospettiva sì pubbliche che private della città di Venezia (Cicognara 4381) One volume (of two), circa 1740, comprising a double-page engraved view of Venice, and 45 engraved plates (most with two or more views on one sheet), on laid paper, the sheets bound in a thick paper binder, published by Giambattista Albrizzi, Venice Sheet 200 x 250mm (7 7/8 x 9 7/8in) Folio 265 x 195 x 15mm (10 3/8 x 7 5/8 x 5/8in) Footnotes: Cicognara states 45 plates only, presumably referring to the first edition. This is a later edition in two volumes, tome I consisting of views of Venetian churches and public buildings; tome II (not included in this lot) illustrating the most magnificent private buildings in the city.
