Alexander Stoddart (born 1959) bronze James Clerk Maxwell, 1831 – 1879, Physicist modelled seated on a chair inscribed 'A Stoddart' and 'Paisley' raised on a grey wooden plinth, 20cm wide, 39cm deep, 55cm high (7 1/2in wide, 15in deep, 21 1/2in high) (Together with a set of three original drawings, framed together and a pair of hand-tinted and signed colour prints, framed together, '1/50', (3) Footnotes: This is a maquette or study for the statue of the physicist, James Clerk Maxwell, commissioned by the Royal Society of Edinburgh and erected in George Street in 2008.
